Signs of spring
The other morning as I was leaving for work, I spotted the first flowers on our small kowhai tree. I was so excited that I rushed back inside and grabbed the camera to get a photo in case the wind battered it later in the day.
There are a whole lot more buds about to open. And the magnolia outside my office window at work is covered in buds. Surely the warmer spring weather can't be far away now?

We had a kowhai near one of our houses and they are soo beautiful - thank you for reminding me about it! x
